System Requirements

The following section contains the requirements for installing the Xpoda Enterprise Business Applications Platform. Before installation, your system administrator should have prepared the following resources for the XPoda installation team.

Platform Software Architecture

Hardware Requirements

Hardware requirements for Xpoda Platform installation are as follows. The application can be run on virtual or physical servers. The following resource requirements are available for the service layer server and database server, which contains web services and utilities. These resources can be distributed in structures containing two separate servers.

requirements of the developed applications. 
  System administrators should arrange the storage space required for the platform before 
installation and configure it so that it can be expanded later as needed.

DTC	Important Note: Valid for Version 2.7 and earlier. In versions 2.8 and above DTC dependency has been removed. In organizations with two servers, DTC service must be turned on on both servers (Application and Database servers), network access must be granted, and these two servers must be able to see each other over the same network. In case of access problems, make sure that both servers can access each other and that the necessary permissions are granted in Windows Firewall and that the necessary settings are made on the Firewall. In two-server architectures, Network access for DTC service must be enabled on both servers.

* Applications developed with Xpoda basically work in all browsers. 
  However, due to some differences between browsers, we recommend up-to-date versions 
of the Google Chrome browser for the best performance.

Operating System Updates	The latest updates to the Windows operating system must be made and automatic updates must be turned on.

Network Port Access	In network access, the specified port of the server where the service layer of the platform is located must be accessible from the outside. ** This access may be limited by IP restriction.
SSL	SSL is required for the client application to function properly. Non-SSL installations are considered risky in terms of security. In order to get support for your Xpoda installations, be sure to perform the SSL installation procedures appropriately. Without SSL, the Xpoda Lite mobile application cannot be used.

* Total recommended bandwidth for Service and Client components.
This bandwidth can be increased or decreased according to the number of current users.
The exact need will only become clear with the installation details.
The information here is only a suggestion.

** 8085 port is the default port.
The service can be made to run on another port.
In this case, your Network administrator must configure it to provide access to the relevant port.
This requirement is necessary in case of using Xpoda Studio.
Xpoda Studio is the software development tool of the Xpoda Platform.
